The FAHDAY 2024 festival is set to take place on October 12 (Saturday) at the Tomakomai Civic Hall in Hokkaido. The final lineup of additional artists has been revealed, along with the event’s timetable.
Founded by Shuhei Kato (vocals/guitar) of the local band NOT WONK, FAHDAY 2024 is referred to as a “market of expressive exchange.” The event aims to preserve and promote Tomakomai’s cultural heritage, collaborating with local live music venues, clubs, bars, cafes, and izakayas to create a vibrant space for sharing culture with a wider audience.
Recent announcements include updates on the outdoor area “Area_3” and the foyer area in front of the main hall, known as “Area_4.” Vendors like GoGo Shokudo, Shirokabado, and HARU will be setting up stalls in “Area_3,” while “Area_4” will feature installations such as “Little Coffee Stand by Ouchi Coffee” and a special exhibit titled “The City Built In Memory” by NEW SHOUTAROU × Niwatori Family FAHDAY2024. Furthermore, Tatsuhiko Kato, CovoChillCamp, SUU, and HAL will handle decorations and VJing throughout the event.
Admission to “Area_2,” “Area_3,” and “Area_4” is free, but tickets are required for the main hall “Area_1,” where performances by EGO-WRAPPIN’, Odotte Bakari no Kuni, Ayano Kaneko, and NOT WONK are slated to occur.
