Singer-songwriter Yuga has unveiled details about her upcoming 4th album, Love Deluxe, set to release on September 4. The album’s cover artwork has also been revealed.
The album will feature a total of 10 tracks, including the previously released singles “Sunset” (June) and “Don’t Remember Me” (July). It will also include a “2024 mix” of “遠い朝” (Distant Morning), which was released in August 2023. The entire album is produced by Takuro Okada, who worked with Yuga and the members of his band, Magic Band—Takuro Okada (Guitar), Hiroki Chiba (Bass), Yu Taniguchi (Keyboards), and Junpei Kamiya (Drums). This will be Yuga’s fourth album, following 言葉のない夜に (A Night Without Words), which was released about two and a half years ago.
In a recent MC during her two-man live event In Other Words with Yuta Orisaka at Shibuya WWW X on June 21, Yuga described the album as a “dance album for the melancholic.” While retaining her signature organic, chill, and folky style, the new album explores a more exotic and danceable sound. The lyrics have also expanded into new territories, presenting a fresh perspective that defies her previous image.
Alongside the tracklist announcement, the album’s cover art, shot by Tatsuya Hirota, has been released. Yuga will embark on a band tour titled Love Deluxe Tour 2024, covering Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, with tickets now available.
