Iwate’s KESEN ROCK Festival Unveils Third Round Lineup: HAWAIIAN6, Tokyo Tanaka from MAN WITH A MISSION, and More

The third batch of performers for “KESEN ROCK FESTIVAL’24” to be held on July 15 (Mon., holiday) at Yumeumi Park in Ofunato, Iwate, has been announced, with IN-pish, Tokyo Tanaka (MAN WITH A MISSION), HAWAIIAN6 and locofrank added.

“KESEN ROCK FESTIVAL” is an outdoor music festival started in 2009 by volunteers from Rikuzentakata City, Ofunato City, and Sumita Town on the southern coast of Iwate Prefecture as an effort to address regional depopulation, hollowing out, and population outflow. With no experience in festival management, the “handmade style” of the committee members, who brought together a variety of occupations and skills, attracted a lot of attention, and the festival was held every July in Taneyamagahara, Sumida Town, Iwate Prefecture.

The last time the festival was held was in 2019, when BRAHMAN, Stray Tenor, and others performed, but due to the new coronavirus and other factors, the event was postponed. The band apart, ASPARAGUS, 10-FEET, FRONTIER BACKYARD, and MONOEYES have already been announced to perform, bringing the total number of artists to nine.

The sold-out tickets and parking tickets will be on sale at Ticket Pia from 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
