Ako（a子）’s first album “GENE” will be released on Wednesday, July 10. The artwork was also announced at the same time.
The album includes 13 tracks, featuring “Atashi no Zenbu wo Aisenai,” which gained attention as the opening theme for the TV Tokyo drama “First Love, Zalari” released under the indie label in 2023, as well as the major debut song “Wakusei,” and new tracks like “Good Morning,” “Beige to Momoiro,” “Miss U,” “Tsumaran,” and “Borderline.” It will be released from Pony Canyon/IRORI Records.
The Blu-ray “MACHINE” that comes with the “CD Blu-ray” version will also include a newly shot acoustic live video and a behind-the-scenes making-of video from the “SXSW” stage held in Austin, Texas, USA, in March 2024. The album will include the following
The liner notes of all 13 songs on the album and an original zine featuring visuals shot for the album will be distributed as an early pre-order bonus. In addition to this, if you purchase the zine at the target shops, you will also receive a first-come, first-served special offer at each store.
In August, “Ako Live Tour 2024 “Umbilical Cord”” will be held. Tickets for the Tokyo show are sold out, and those for the Osaka show at UMEDA CLUB QUATTRO on August 3 (Sat) are now on sale.
