A music event “DEEP DIVE in sync with GHOST IN THE SHELL / GHOST IN THE SHELL” will be held on Saturday, May 25 at Zepp Shinjuku in Shinjuku, Tokyo, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original “GHOST IN THE SHELL” manga.
Based on Masamune Shirow’s manga, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” directed by Mamoru Oshii is a milestone in science fiction anime films, and is still supported by many people around the world. In this event, the world of “GHOST IN THE SHELL” will be reinterpreted by artists who also radiate originality, and presented as live, DJ, and VR contents.

The headliner of the event will be Derrick May, one of the artists who participated in the soundtrack of the 1997 PlayStation game “Ghost in the Shell” and a legendary DJ who introduced Detroit techno to the world. The lineup also includes 4s4ki, a new generation of artists who blend electronic music with profound vocals, and Donguri Zu, who are gaining support for their witty grooves and deep sound. Along with the sound produced by each of these artists, a VJ video using footage from “Ghost in the Shell” will be shown to immerse the audience visually and sensually into the world of the film.
On the sub-floor, 0b4k3 (Obake), who hosts the club “GHOSTCLUB” in VRChat and has directed numerous VR productions including MONDO GROSSO’s “FORGOTTEN,” and Sanrokumaru Studio, which has extensive experience in sound production for 3D sound and music mixing production. and Sanrokumaru Studio, which has extensive experience and achievements in music mix production and stereophonic sound production.

At the venue, a limited number of original apparel items will be available for purchase. Also, a collaboration item with street apparel brand MEQRI will be released on the same day.
