Taiwan’s Elephant Gym will hold solo shows in Kyoto and Fukuoka in April as an addition to their Japan tour in January, their first shows outside of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
Formed in 2012, Elephant Gym is a three-piece band consisting of Tell Chang (張凱翔) on guitar/piano/synthesizer, siblings KT Chang (張凱婷) on vocals/bass, and Chia-Chin Tu (涂嘉欽 Tu) on drums. 2018 saw the band perform in all six North American cities In Japan, they have performed at numerous festivals including “SUMMER SONIC” and “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL”. They have also frequently held solo tours mainly in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
The solo shows announced this time will be held at Crucifix in Kyoto on April 16 (Tue) and ROOMS in Fukuoka on April 18 (Thu). The band will also perform at the urban festival “SYNCHRONICITY ’24” in Shibuya, Tokyo on Saturday, April 13, and at the festival “OOPARTS 2024” hosted by cinema staff in Gifu on Sunday, April 14.
