Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” will be released in theaters on Friday, September 1.
“The Haunted Mansion” is a live-action film based on the Disneyland attraction. A mother and her son move to a mansion in New Orleans, where mysterious things keep happening. In order to solve the mystery of the mansion, they seek help from four people: Ben, a psychic photographer who doesn’t believe in ghosts; Kent, an over-the-top priest; Harriet, an over-the-top medium; and Bruce, a historian who is a ghost house nerd. Through their spooky experiences, they become aware of the truth hidden in the mansion, making this a ghost movie.
Directed by Justin Simien, who has a background as a part-time Disneyland employee. The cast includes Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Laquise Stanfield, Danny DeVito, Jared Leto, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
