Thundercat is back. The genre-bending bassist and producer will release his first new album in six years, ”Distracted”, on April 3, marking his fifth full-length record to date.
The album brings together an impressive lineup of collaborators, including an unreleased track with his late close friend Mac Miller, alongside guest appearances from Tame Impala and WILLOW. Production duties are handled by an all-star team featuring Greg Kurstin and longtime creative partner Flying Lotus.
To coincide with the announcement, Thundercat has also unveiled the lead single ”I Did This To Myself”, featuring Lil Yachty. Adding to the momentum, he confirmed his return to Japan this May with ”THUNDERCAT JAPAN TOUR 2026”, set to hit Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
The Japan tour scheduled for this May will consist of four shows in total, including two nights at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo.
