Sheena Ringo will release her new album “Kinji-te” on March 11, taking one of the boldest creative swings of her career. True to its title “forbidden move,” the album breaks her long-standing tradition of writing her own songs. Instead, it’s built entirely from guest appearances and co-productions with other artists and producers.
The collaborator list spans an eclectic range: Ichiyo Izawa, ꉈꀧ꒒꒒ꁄꍈꍈꀧ꒦ꉈ ꉣꅔꎡꅔꁕꁄ (millennium parade), and Miliyah Kato contribute tracks, while new joint works with Hidetoku Mukai, BIGYUKI, Jun Miyake, and Hiromasa Ijichi are also set for inclusion.
Alongside the announcement, Ringo revealed the album jacket, design, and full visual direction. All artwork was newly illustrated by graphic designer Akira Uno, extending the collaboration that began with her 2013 compilation “Uki-name.”
Fans who pre-order the CD will also receive access to an exclusive ticket lottery for Sheena Ringo’s 2026 spring tour, “Sheena Ringo Tōtaikai Reiwa 8 Nen Rettō Junkai.”
