Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation have announced a new anime, Kaiju Decode The Ring of Aidara.
The anime is part of the transmedia project KAIJU DECODE, a collaborative initiative by Tsuburaya and Toei Animation centered on stories of kaiju and girls. Previous installments in the project have included the short anime KAIJU DECODE, the VR anime KAIJU DECODE -first contact-, and the MR game KAIJU DECODE -super multiverse MR-.
Kaiju Decode The Ring of Aidara follows the story of Maru, a kind-hearted, justice-driven boy living peacefully in the society called the “City,” free from the constraints of body, mind, space, and time, and Coco, a girl from the Aidara tribe who coexists with kaiju in the dangerous land known as the “Zone.” The story explores how these two individuals from opposing worlds seek a path to live together.

Comments from the cast have also been shared, including Aya Yamane as Maru and Karin Takahashi as Coco.
I’m Aya Yamane, and I have the honor of voicing Maru! He’s a boy who’s straightforward, full of justice, pure-hearted, and always willing to help others without hesitation. I hope everyone will pay attention to how he was shaped by his experiences and how his encounters with the Aydara people transform him.
The story is set in a future far beyond our own, yet the characters’ very human struggles and inner conflicts are portrayed vividly, and the plot moves forward at a thrilling pace. I truly believe it’s a work that will keep viewers engaged until the very end. I hope this story reaches and touches many people!
Aya Yamane as Maru
I’m Karin Takahashi, and I have the honor of voicing Coco. She’s a sharp, curious girl who lives among the Aydara and has a special bond with the kaiju. Watching her navigate her responsibilities, relying on the power of the kaiju while striving to fulfill her mission, I see her as an incredibly strong character. At the same time, the glimpses of her more tender, girlish side make her all the more endearing.
The story of Maru and Coco—two lives shaped by completely different worlds and cultures—meeting, learning about each other, and discovering each other’s worlds made me reflect deeply on the essence of human life. I also felt connections to our own world within their journey. I sincerely hope to see where their story goes next.
