One year after its live debut, Ichiko Aoba’s Luminescent Creatures World Premiere is being made available for a limited-time on-demand stream. The original concerts, held in October 2024 in Osaka and Tokyo, sold out immediately, drawing fans eager to experience the singer-songwriter’s latest work ahead of her album release.
The streamed performance captures the Tokyo show from October 26 in full. The concert was presented in two parts: the first combined selections from Aoba’s previous album Windswept Adan with singles released since 2020, while the second faithfully reproduced the tracklist of Luminescent Creatures. Featuring a ten-member ensemble, the performance preserves the live concert’s intimate and immersive atmosphere for viewers worldwide.
Aoba is currently on her “Luminescent Creatures World Tour”, performing solo across nine cities in Japan. Following the domestic tour, she will embark on a South American tour at the end of the year, followed by two concerts in China, the first in nearly nine years, and a special strings-backed performance in Ishigaki Island, part of the Yaeyama Islands, a place that has deeply influenced her artistic perspective.
Additionally, next spring, Aoba will take her music across Europe and the United States on the “Across the Oceans Tour”, consisting of 18 performances. Among the announced venues are iconic concert halls such as London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
