The film follows Sunny Day Service’s first-ever China tour held in July 2024, capturing live performances in Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou, as well as interactions with local fans and the region’s food culture. It is directed by Company Matsuo, who previously helmed Documentary: Sunny Day Service and Documentary: Sunny Day Service in Taiwan.

This release captures Sunny Day Service’s 2024 China tour.
It serves as a sequel to the 2023 theatrical release Documentary: Sunny Day Service and Documentary: Sunny Day Service in Taiwan, which was released on Sunny Day Service’s YouTube channel in 2024.I joined the tour to explore questions like: How is Japanese music received in China through Sunny Day Service? And how does Ramenman Tanaka approach Chinese noodles?
The documentary is split into three parts, totaling 74 minutes. The track selection leans toward mid-tempo songs, and I included as many full choruses as possible. The footage is edited more loosely than usual, so please relax and enjoy.
