An Outdoor Film Festival in Numazu to Screen 27 Movies Overnight
The outdoor film festival “Forest Movie Festival 2025” will take place on September 27 and 28 at INN THE PARK Numazu, a stay-and-play park in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Celebrated for over a decade as the “Forest Movie Festival,” this year’s event will feature all-night screenings on the park’s lawn and dome tents, showcasing a total of 27 films. The lineup includes six feature films: Cinema Paradiso, Aftersun, Robot Dreams, The Arctic Department Store Concierge, Call Me by Your Name, and Big Fish. In addition, the festival will present invited works from indie theaters and distributors, recommended films from other festivals, 15 indie films selected from public submissions, and a short film by director Hirokazu Kore-eda titled Last Scene, all projected across three outdoor screens throughout the night until morning.
The festival grounds will also offer movie-themed food and experiences, including an original craft beer inspired by the films, “Peach Me Dunkel,” afternoon and midnight teas, and over 15 market stalls. Interactive events such as quizzes, talk shows, and evening discussions under the night sky will further enhance the festival experience. Tickets are available on Peatix.
