Grand Opening of NEWoMan Takanawa Features Yo Hitoto and Live Performance by STUTS
Opening September 12 in Tokyo’s Takanawa, NEWoMan Takanawa is Lumine’s largest complex yet, home to 177 shops and LUFTBAUM, a garden space 150 meters above the city with more than 500 plants, a sweeping view of Mt. Fuji and immersive green zones.

To mark the opening, the commemorative event Hyakuyui-sai will also take place. On the official opening day, Friday September 12, fashion designer Keita Maruyama will present the installation Hyakka-musubi. The following day, Saturday September 13, the opening event Kyōsō concerto produced by KEITA MARUYAMA will be held, featuring a one-night-only stage led by singer Yo Hitoto alongside genre-crossing collaborations with world-renowned dancers.

From September 16 to November 3, STUTS presents an immersive audio installation in Midori no Niwa (Garden of Green), where a specially curated playlist is remixed to let visitors feel surrounded by sound or discover it as if searching through space.
I feel truly honored to be creating the opening program for the immersive audio experience at Midori no Niwa (Garden of Green). When I visited the space the other day, I was amazed by how beautiful it was—a garden full of diverse plants with a panoramic view of Tokyo unlike anything I’d seen before.
Through immersive audio, I want to shape soundscapes that let listeners feel surrounded by music in new ways. Since this is my first project of this kind, I’m really looking forward to the challenge. My hope is to create something that gently accompanies visitors in their everyday moments, so I invite you to stop by and experience it for yourself.
