Taifu Club is set to release their 7-inch record “Kyoto-shi Minami-ku” on Saturday, August 23, marking the band’s first new release in two and a half years. Already a staple of their live performances, the track delivers a raw, punk-inspired labor anthem.
Alongside the record, the band has unveiled a teaser for their upcoming documentary film, directed by member Keita Yamamoto. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the film is a fully self-produced project in collaboration with their label, NEWFOLK, handling everything from planning and filming to editing, distribution, and promotion. Screening venues are currently being sought, with the band encouraging interested locations to get in touch.
