“UENnichi at Josenji” Scheduled for Saturday, October 25, at Josenji Temple in Onomichi, Hiroshima
“UENnichi” is a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Buddhist temple fairs, combining music, crafts, and food in one place. The event aims to foster new connections and experiences. While Josenji Temple has a history of hosting music events, this marks the first time it will hold the UENnichi festival.

The live music performances will take place in the main hall of Josenji Temple, featuring Keiichi Sokabe, Yūransen (a four-member lineup), Empty, and gnkosaiBAND. During the intervals between sets, there will also be Dharma talks by monks from the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji sect.
Additionally, a market will be held on the temple grounds with vendors from across Japan, including Hiroshima’s STEREO RECORDS, Kagawa, Kyoto, and Mie. Various stalls will offer curry, antiques, pottery, art goods, and more.
Ticket reservations have already begun. While the limited early-bird tickets have sold out, advance tickets are still available.
