Cornelius has launched “Glow Within,” a new digital single released under the name HERALBONY, marking a unique collaboration with the socially driven music label ROUTINE RECORDS.
ROUTINE RECORDS is operated by HERALBONY, a project that highlights the sounds associated with the routines and repetitive behaviors of people with disabilities. This release is the label’s second major project and features Cornelius reconstructing sounds derived from the daily routines and vocalizations of writers with intellectual disabilities. These sounds are transformed into a cohesive artistic expression, giving voice to the experiences behind them.
To celebrate the project, an exhibition titled Glow Within – The Voices of Cornelius and 13 Artists will be held at two locations: HERALBONY LABORATORY GINZA in Tokyo from July 24 to August 11, and HERALBONY ISAI PARK in Iwate from August 30 to September 26. The exhibition offers an immersive environment where visitors can experience the new music alongside visual art, while also exploring the creative processes and presence of the 13 participating artists.
