Kaytranada will return to Japan this summer for his first solo headline show in seven years. The performance is set for Thursday, August 28 at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo.
The Montreal-based producer and DJ—celebrated for his distinctive blend of house, hip-hop, and soul—released his third studio album ‘TIMELESS’ in 2024. The album features a star-studded lineup including Childish Gambino, Thundercat, Don Toliver, Anderson .Paak, PinkPantheress, Dawn Richard, and Tinashe, and earned a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 67th Grammy Awards.
This upcoming Tokyo show marks Kaytranada’s first solo appearance in Japan since 2018, and his first visit since performing at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2019. Joining him as a special guest will be his younger brother and longtime collaborator, rapper Lou Phelps, who will open the show.
Pre-sale tickets go live starting Thursday, July 17, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kaytranada is also scheduled to appear at the 24th anniversary celebration of WORLD KYOTO the following night, on Friday, August 29.
