FIEVEL IS GLAUQUE will make their long-awaited Japan debut with two nights of performances at Blue Note Tokyo on Wednesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 28. Each night will feature two sets, with the core members—multi-instrumentalist Zach Phillips and vocalist Ma Clément—joined by a full supporting band.
Formed in 2018, FIEVEL IS GLAUQUE bring together Phillips, originally from New York, and Clément, based in Brussels. The group blends jazz-pop foundations with experimental and alternative sensibilities, earning attention for their unconventional yet accessible sound. In 2022, they were handpicked as the opening act for Stereolab’s tour, and their second album ‘Flaming Swords’ received widespread praise, with some critics likening their work to Steely Dan.
Their most recent album, Rong Weicknes, was released in October 2024 via Fat Possum Records.
Tickets for their Blue Note Tokyo performances are now available via the venue’s official website.
