Marking their 10th anniversary, yahyel is set to release their fourth album, In Amber, on August 13, 2025. This will be their first album in nearly two years, following 2023’s Loves & Cults.
Ahead of the full release, the band dropped the lead single “No Other Cars” on June 25, which is now available for pre-add and pre-save across streaming platforms. To coincide with the announcement, yahyel also unveiled new artist photos shot by photographer Tomoyuki Kawakami, reflecting the group’s evolving aesthetic as they celebrate a decade of their musical journey.
It’s been two years since our bold and challenging album Loves & Cults, where we didn’t shy away from friction and discord but faced coexistence as individuals head-on. Now, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’re moving toward a clear and transparent kind of freedom.
We spent countless hours together in a room in Tokyo, exploring analog synthesis until the day faded. In Amber came together track by track, capturing the feeling of fresh, clear air after a storm, the twilight moments of life, and the crystallization of unspoken realities. While we revisit the sharp bass-driven sound of our first album, each of us brings new depth and warmth gained from our own individual journeys.
We stay true, face our music honestly, and keep creating. Returning to the simple yet most difficult foundation of co-creating music—that’s where we are now, and we hope listeners will feel that too.
