YAMAGATA’s Hotel JURIN in the scenic Zao Onsen area will host Onsen Sound, a unique event exclusively for overnight guests, on Saturday, July 5. The program combines live music, gourmet dining, engaging activities, and the region’s famous hot springs, all amid the lush natural surroundings of Zao.
The music lineup features singer-songwriter Yuka, known for her festival appearances across Japan; electronic and ambient artist Meitei, who has attracted attention both domestically and internationally; Buoy, the solo project of musician Misa Yoneyama; and DJ sets by Satoshi Miya.
Guests will also enjoy a variety of local food and drinks from vendors such as Zao Onsen Shokudo, DROP, GRAPE REPUBLIC, haccoba, Yamamo Miso & Soy Sauce Brewery, and Ringori Rappa Brewery. The event includes hands-on experiences like a traditional Zao Onsen rice cake workshop (Inagamochi), stargazing sessions, morning yoga, and sauna use. The rice cake workshop is limited to 15 participants per session and requires advance booking.
