Koto player LEO has released a new single titled “Vanishing Metro” on June 18, serving as a lead track from the forthcoming album microcosm, scheduled for release on July 16.
Produced and composed by Shohei Amemiya, “Vanishing Metro” features a collaboration between LEO and drummer Kazuya Oi. The music video showcases the two artists facing off, demonstrating their extraordinary technical skills in an intense performance.
The album microcosm includes collaborations with a diverse lineup of artists such as Yudai Bando, LAUSBUB, Masaki Hayashi, Francesco Tristano, and Misaki Umei. The mastering was done by Heba Kadry, renowned for her work with Björk and Ryuichi Sakamoto, while the track featuring Umei was mixed by Ohzora Kimishima.
