D.A.N. Re-Releases Debut Album as Remaster

D.A.N.’s first album, D.A.N., will be reissued as a double 12-inch vinyl set on Wednesday, August 27.

Formed in 2014, D.A.N. consists of Daigo Sakuragi (vocals/guitar/synth), Hitoshi Ichikawa (bass), and Akira Kawakami (drums). The band has released three albums to date and frequently performed at major festivals such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. They have also served as opening acts for James Blake and The xx during their Japan tours and actively performed overseas, including UK and Asia tours. Although the group paused live activities as a band in December 2022, members have continued working through songwriting, solo projects, and DJ appearances. On Sunday, August 3, D.A.N. is scheduled to hold their first solo concert in two and a half years at the Hibiya Park Outdoor Music Hall in Tokyo.

D.A.N.’s debut album D.A.N., originally released in 2016, received widespread acclaim and quickly sold out its initial pressing. It was also selected as a finalist for the 9th CD Shop Awards in 2017. For this reissue, the album has been remastered by Lawrie Dunster at the UK studio Curve Pusher, and includes the tracks “Native Dancer” and “Dive” by Albino Sound.

Additionally, the band’s comeback concert, D.A.N. 10th Anniversary Special, is scheduled for Sunday, August 3.
