Men I Trust has announced a Japan tour in January 2026, with Mei Simones as their supporting act.
Formed in 2014, Men I Trust is a three-member band from Montreal, Canada. Their sound, often described as dream pop and indie pop, has earned them worldwide acclaim. They have performed at major festivals such as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Lollapalooza. This upcoming Japan tour, their first since April 2023, will feature songs from their two consecutive album releases, Equus Asinus (March 2025) and Equus Caballus (May 2025).
Mei Simones, set to join as a supporting artist, is a singer-songwriter from Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a Japanese mother. She studied jazz-focused guitar at Berklee College of Music before relocating to New York in 2022. While working as a Japanese-language kindergarten teacher, she continued her songwriting and released her EP Kabutomushi in spring 2024, attracting attention and praise from Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Her debut album ANIMARU is scheduled for release in May 2025, and she is also booked to perform at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’25 in July.
Tickets for the upcoming Japan tour, which will take place in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, are currently available for official advance lottery registration until Sunday, June 22. Men I Trust’s previous Japan tour was held in just two cities—Tokyo and Osaka—and tickets for both shows sold out.
