The first teaser for the live documentary film ”Tohji Pia Arena” has been released, announcing a limited two-week screening starting June 20 at 15 Aeon Cinema locations across Japan.
This film reconstructs Tohji’s first-ever arena concert held in February 2025 at Kanagawa’s Yokohama Pia Arena MM. Combining a short documentary about the lead-up to the arena show with actual live footage, the film offers a comprehensive experience of the event.
The concert scenes have been re-edited with dynamic 5.1 surround sound to vividly recreate the energy and excitement of the performance in theaters. The live footage also features special song arrangements prepared exclusively for this show, allowing viewers to immerse themselves fully in the story told through the concert.
The theatrical screenings are unique in that they allow not only audience cheering but also photography and video recording. By cheering and capturing moments just like at a live concert, viewers become active participants, creating a new immersive experience where the audience and film merge into one.
Additionally, at the end of the main screening, a special short film—created from the idea “If it’s going to be shown in theaters, why not make something special?”—will be presented. This work explores new possibilities in the fusion of music and visual expression.
Advance tickets with a limited-edition T-shirt, art-directed by Tohji himself, are available at Ticket Pia until Tuesday, May 27. Stage greeting events featuring Tohji, guest artists, and staff will be held at some theaters, with details announced on the official movie website.
