Kankyō Records, a record store and label based in Sangenjaya, Tokyo, specializing in environmental and ambient music, will host its event “Kankyō Records Showcase vol.3 feat. DAUW at GREEN WISE” on Saturday, May 24 in Tama City, Tokyo. The featured guest is the prestigious Belgian ambient label DAUW.
The event will take place inside a greenhouse located at the headquarters of GREEN WISE, a company known for its work in landscape design—such as projects for Azabudai Hills and Snow Peak FIELD—and environmental initiatives. Surrounded by greenery and natural light, the venue offers the atmosphere of a private botanical garden, providing an elegant and immersive experience.
Four artists representing DAUW will perform live: label founder Dudal, Adriaan de Roover with his mist-like textures, Fumitake Tamura known for releases on labels like Leaving Records, and H. Takahashi, founder of Kankyō Records.
The DJ lineup includes Nomizo, a member of CMYK and GREEN WISE landscape designer who also works with plant bioelectric sound installations; grrrden, a practicing phytotherapist; and Yudai Osawa, a graphic designer and member of the ambient unit Atoris.
The venue will feature a 4.2-channel sound system using the S Series, the flagship speakers from Berlin-based manufacturer ADAM Audio. Additionally, an installation using ADAM Audio’s latest compact D3V monitor speakers and handcrafted planters from Belgian ceramics brand Atelier Vierkant will present a plant bioelectric sound experience curated by GREEN WISE.
Located just a short distance from Tama Center Station, the event offers a rare chance to experience the harmony of nature and sound in a serene, acoustically rich setting.
