Tokyo-based band never young beach will play their first-ever show at Nippon Budokan on Monday, December 8, marking the culmination of their 10th anniversary year.
Formed in 2014, the band made their major label debut in 2017 with the album A GOOD TIME on SPEEDSTAR RECORDS. Over the past decade, they have become a mainstay in Japan’s alternative music scene, blending laid-back melodies with nostalgic Japanese pop influences. In 2024, they performed a sold-out solo concert at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall and completed a successful tour in China. Frontman Yuma Abe also launched his first solo tour across North America, further expanding the band’s international reach.
The Budokan show was announced at the conclusion of their 10th Anniversary Tour 2025 Tokyo stop at Zepp DiverCity on April 28. The performance was livestreamed on YouTube, and the announcement video featured actress Hana Sugisaki playing an innkeeper, with the band members appearing as staff. The full concert stream will remain available for replay until 11:59 PM on April 29 (a public holiday in Japan).
The Budokan performance represents a major milestone for never young beach — a band that continues to evolve and connect with audiences both in Japan and abroad.
Tickets for the show are available at Lo-chique until 23:59 on May 19 (Mon.) for the fastest advance reservation (by lottery).
