The highly anticipated free live event, J-WAVE & Roppongi Hills present TOKYO M.A.P.S Nagaoka Ryosuke EDITION, will take place at Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo on May 3rd (Saturday, public holiday) and May 4th (Sunday, public holiday).
This annual event, which has been running since 2008, is a collaboration between J-WAVE and Roppongi Hills. Its concept, “Music. Art. Performance. multiple (S) gathered, and streamed as a special session within the showcase,” focuses on bringing together creative minds from various fields. Every year, a renowned figure from the music industry is invited to curate the event, and in 2025, Ryosuke Nagaoka, host of J-WAVE’s CITROËN FOURGONNETTE and member of Petrolz, will take on this curatorial role.
Under Nagaoka’s direction, a diverse lineup of nine performers will take to the stage over the two-day event. Day 1 will feature Takao Tajima & Ryosuke Nagaoka, 5lack, Kiichi Arimoto, and OSAKA MONORAIL. On Day 2, the stage will host Nagaoka, Junretsu, T-Jiros, jan and naomi, and WUJA BIN BIN. Each performance will reflect the 2025 theme of “Listen with Your Skin, Enjoy the Beautiful Sound of Beautiful People”, with the artists offering their own interpretations through live music.
