Mariah Carey has officially announced her upcoming Japan tour, “THE CELEBRATION OF MIMI,” marking her long-awaited return to the country after a 7-year hiatus. The tour, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of her iconic 2005 album “The Emancipation of Mimi,” follows her successful residency in Las Vegas, where she has been performing the same-named show since April 2024. The residency honors the album that played a key role in solidifying her legacy in the music industry.
In addition to this milestone, 2025 will be a monumental year for Mariah Carey, celebrating the 35th anniversary of her debut and the 30th anniversary of her multi-platinum album, “Daydream,” which sold over 20 million copies globally.
The Japan tour was revealed on March 27, Mariah’s 56th birthday. The tour will kick off on October 28 (Tuesday) at GLION ARENA KOBE in Kobe, followed by two shows at K Arena Yokohama in Yokohama on November 1 (Saturday) and November 2 (Sunday). While details on the setlist remain unclear, the special tour website hints at a selection of songs that will align with the seasonal vibe, stating, “This year, she will announce the arrival of ‘winter’ in Japan to the world!”
Ticket sales for the tour will begin with a CreativeMan Member pre-sale lottery starting on March 27 (Thursday). An official pre-sale through eplus will begin on April 1 (Tuesday), and general ticket sales will open on May 10 (Saturday).
