Van Dyke Parks will perform in Japan for the first time in 12 years with two shows at Billboard Live TOKYO in Roppongi, Tokyo, on March 26 (Wednesday) and March 27 (Thursday).
A legendary producer, songwriter, and arranger, Van Dyke Parks is widely recognized for his work on SMiLE by The Beach Boys, as well as collaborations with Randy Newman, Ry Cooder, and Little Feat. In Japan, he is known for his contribution to HAPPY END, the final album by Happy End, which greatly influenced Haruomi Hosono and Eiichi Ohtaki. He continues to share a musical connection with Hosono through live performances and tribute projects.
Tickets for the shows will be available through multiple phases: an exclusive pre-sale for Billboard Live’s “Club BBL” and corporate members starting at noon on February 20 (Thursday), followed by a special pre-sale on ePlus from February 22 (Saturday). General ticket sales via Billboard Live will begin on February 27 (Friday).
