Pot-pourri Unveils Pre-Release Track “Paradis” from Upcoming Album Eraser, Pencil

Pot-pourri released their single “Paradis” on January 22 (Wednesday).

Formed in 2015, Pot-pourri is a four-member band consisting of Sawawo (vocals / acoustic guitar), Ryo Nagai (effects), Shibasaki (bass), and Taro (drums). Known for their “abstract post-punk” sound, they are recognized for their melodies with Japanese lyrics. In 2019, they released their debut album Classic through HEADZ / UNKNOWNMIX. Their third album, Eraser, Pencil, is set to be released digitally on February 5, 2025.

“Paradis,” the pre-release single from Eraser, Pencil, is an 8-beat pop song utilizing synthesizers, with twin vocals throughout the track. The detailed voicing in the instrumental break is also a highlight of the song.

Additionally, the purchase benefits for the CD version of Eraser, Pencil have been announced. Each retailer will offer a different unreleased track on CD-R. At Disk Union, the track “Dressed in Black (Instrumental)” will be included, while for multi-store purchase benefits, “Over (and Over) (Instrumental)” will be available, with the participating stores to be announced soon.

Ahead of the album release, a listening event for Eraser, Pencil will be held on February 2 (Sunday) at Tokyo’s Ochiai Soup. Soup has a deep connection with Pot-pourri, having hosted a solo live show in August 2024. After the listening session, a mini-live performance will take place. Ticket reservations are open until February 1 (Saturday) 23:59, or until the capacity is reached.
