The documentary film ‘Blur: To The End’ and the concert film ‘Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium’ will both be released nationwide on Friday, January 31. These two works capture Blur’s journey to their largest-ever live performance and the unforgettable show itself.
‘Blur: To The End’ follows the band’s emotional comeback after an eight-year hiatus, marked by the release of their album “The Ballad of Darren” in July 2023. The film documents the band members reuniting to record the album and prepare for their historic Wembley Stadium performance. It features not only iconic performances but also intimate glimpses into the studio, behind-the-scenes moments during the tour, and archival footage. Spanning over a year, it showcases the band’s enduring impact on British culture over the past three decades.
“Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium” captures the electrifying energy of Blur’s historic concert at Wembley in July 2023. Performing for 150,000 fans over two days, the band delivered legendary tracks like “Song 2,” “Girls & Boys,” and “Coffee & TV.” The film uses footage from 20 camera angles and over 40 hours of recordings to vividly portray the once-in-a-lifetime experience, including the band’s dynamic performances and the passion of their fans.
A newly released trailer combines previews from both films into a single reel. The first half highlights ‘Blur: To The End,’ featuring archival concert footage, behind-the-scenes moments of recording, and candid reflections on the band’s history and relationships. The second half shifts to ‘Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium,’ showcasing the epic concert through stunning drone shots, iconic songs, and the boundless enthusiasm of the packed stadium.
