TESTSET has released their digital EP “EP2 TSTST,” along with the music video for the lead track “Sing City.”
The band was formed in 2022 when Yoshinori Sunahara and LEO ImaI, both former members of METAFIVE, teamed up with Seiichi Nagai from Sōtairyōron and Kenichi Shirane from GREAT3. Their collaboration kicked off with a special performance at the 2021 FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. They launched their debut album, “1STST,” in 2023 and took the stage at the all-night festival “SONICMANIA” in 2024, which occurred the night before SUMMER SONIC.
This EP is being released in anticipation of their self-produced solo concert, “TESTSET LIVE 2024,” set for October 20 (Sunday) at Zepp Shinjuku in Tokyo. It features four tracks: the lead song “Sing City,” “Interface,” which was performed at SONICMANIA, the debut of “Crybaby Drop,” and “Yume No Ato.” The music video for “Sing City” can be found on the official TESTSET YouTube channel and was directed by Sunahara, with filming by Ayumi Sakamoto.
The “TESTSET LIVE 2024” concert was chosen to be held at Zepp Shinjuku, where a 360-degree LED vision will be set up, reflecting the members’ desire to one day perform at such a venue. This concert will showcase the band’s true essence, as they have consistently utilized visuals in their live performances since their formation.
