Glen Check Takes Japan: Korean Band to Rock Tokyo and Osaka Following Netflix Hit

Glen Check’s Japan tour is set to take place on January 20, 2025, at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo and on January 21 at Shinsaibashi BIGCAT in Osaka.

Debuting in 2011 with the EP Disco Elevator, Glen Check is an alternative electro band formed in South Korea. They won the Best Dance Electronic Music Award at the Korean Music Awards, often referred to as the Korean Grammys, for two consecutive years in 2013 and 2014. Known as one of the top live bands in Korea, they are regularly featured in major rock festivals. They have also performed at SUMMER SONIC in Japan in 2012 and 2013 and held a solo concert at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo in 2015. Additionally, they have a history of performing at festivals in the United States, France, and Germany.

Their latest album, Bleach, was released digitally in 2022 and is set to be released on CD in Japan in June 2024. A limited edition white vinyl LP was also released on October 2. Notably, the tracks “Dazed & Confused” and “4ever” from the album were featured in the Netflix series Boyfriend, further increasing their visibility.

The live performances will be held in two formats: “Band Live Set” and “Electronic Live System.” This upcoming Japan tour will feature the “Band Live Set,” focusing on live instruments. Pre-sale tickets for Creative Man members are available until October 6 (Sunday) at 6 PM, with official pre-sale starting on ePlus from October 9 (Thursday). General sales will begin on November 9 (Saturday).

Glen Check will hold a Japan commemorative signing event and photo session at Tower Records Shibuya on October 7 (Monday). Participation is available for those who purchase the CD or LP of Bleach at the store. They are also scheduled to perform at the “KOREA SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE 2024 @JAPAN,” a showcase event for Korean artists taking place at Shibuya Spotify O-EAST on October 9 (Wednesday). Tickets for this event are free, but prior registration is required for entry.
