The electronic music festival “DOME’24” is set to take place on October 27 (Sunday) at UNIT / SALOON / B1FLAT in Daikanyama, Tokyo.
This year’s event celebrates the return of “DENPA!!!/電刃,” a subculture-infused party that defined the 2000s and recently made a comeback after a ten-year hiatus. The first event after the revival attracted attention with performances from artists like Bogdan Raczynski and Grischa Lichtenberger.
The upcoming “DOME’24” will feature avant-garde jazz artist Christian Lillinger, who will be making his Japan debut, as well as Rachika Nayar, whose second album “Heaven Come Crashing” was named one of Pitchfork’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2022” for its enchanting ambient soundscapes. Additional performers include ZULI, a leftfield artist associated with LEE GAMBLE’s “UIQ,” and Dazegxd, a prominent figure from the New York garage scene who recently toured with Nia Archives.
The lineup from Japan includes DJ KRUSH, along with PsysEx, a Kyoto electronica collective that has re-launched in 2024, as well as AOKI takamasa, aus, Licaxxx, Olive Oil, and imai from group_inou. Additionally, Kitamura Fuki, who has performed at the “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL” for two consecutive years, is also part of the lineup.
