For its 20th anniversary in 2024, Tokyo’s Ebisu LIQUIDROOM has announced a special event featuring Theo Parrish. On August 2 (Friday), Parrish will perform a solo all-night DJ set.
Theo Parrish, a DJ and producer based in Detroit, began his career with the debut EP Baby Steps in 1996. His first album, First Floor, was released in 1998 by the renowned British label Peace Frog. Since 1997, he has run his own label, Sound Signature, releasing innovative black music. His latest work, Free Myself (2023), prominently features singer Maurissa Rose.
It’s not the first time Theo Parrish has been slated to perform at LIQUIDROOM. He was scheduled to appear with his band at the venue’s 10th-anniversary party in 2014. However, due to scheduling conflicts among band members, the performance was ultimately canceled. Now, Theo Parrish is set to make his long-awaited debut at LIQUIDROOM with a solo DJ set that will run from start to finish, generating high anticipation.
LIQUIDROOM first opened in Kabukicho, Shinjuku in July 1994 and moved to its current location in Ebisu, Shibuya in July 2004.
