The theme song for the late-night drama series “Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Boss is My Ex-Girlfriend,” which will start airing on TV Tokyo on January 8 (Mon.), is a new song by imase, “Midnight Girl.
The drama is based on the manga “Chaser Game” written by Hiroshi Matsuyama and drawn by Kotaro Matsushima, and is the second TV drama following “Chaser Game” that aired from September 2022. Set in a video game company, it is a revenge love-hate drama that depicts the love and conflict between a boss and two subordinates, while also tackling social issues such as LGBTQ, labor issues, and sexual harassment. The film stars Yuka Sugai and Yurika Nakamura, and also features Kanta Sato, Hena Kikuchi, Hikaru Kabashima, Nozomi Hanayagi, Uraginuno, Ryo Ikeda, Tetsu Kaneda (Hannya.), and Masanobu Katsumura. and Masanobu Katsumura will also appear in the film.
“Midnight Girl” was written as the theme song for the drama and features a groovy R&B sound and sad lyrics. imase is also in charge of the music for the drama as well as the theme song, as in his previous work “Chaser Game”. The film also features the music for the movie “The Chaser Game”.
This is the first time imase has appeared in a TV drama.

The setting is a game company as in the previous work, but this time there is a new romantic element as well as the busy days of a game company, so I created a romantic, sweet and bittersweet song to add more color to those elements from the music.
This is also my first time to act in a TV drama.
