Kenshi Yonezu’s “Spinning Globe” released the music video featuring footage from “The Boy and the Heron.”
“Spinning Globe” was written as the theme song for the movie “The Boy and the Heron.” The music video was directed by Keiichi Itagaki, a longtime trailer director for Studio Ghibli films, and features many images from the film.
The film has been released internationally and won the “New York Film Critics Circle Award” for Best Animated Film, the fourth time for Studio Ghibli, and is scheduled to open in the largest number of theaters in North America for a Studio Ghibli film on December 8, 2012.
