White Shoes & The Couples Company, a six-piece indie-pop band from Indonesia, will mark their Japan debut this September, performing at Aoyama’s Moon Romantic on 27 (Wed) and at Shibuya’s WWW on 28 (Thu) at WWW. They will also perform at Karuizawa’s music festival “EPOCHS~Music &Art Collective~” on Sunday, October 1.
White Shoes & The Couples Company is a six-piece band from Jakarta, Indonesia, whose musical approach, based on 1970s disco-pop and mixed with various genres, has been highly acclaimed outside of Japan. The band has also released works on Chicago’s Minty Flesh label.
The Japanese LP of their latest work “2020” will be released from BIG ROMANTIC RECORDS on September 27 (Wed.).
