The exhibition “New Nizo Yamamoto Exhibition” will be held at Hamamatsu Museum of Art, Shizuoka, from July 8 to September 10.
Nizo Yamamoto is an art director from Nagasaki Prefecture. He has worked as background art for Studio Ghibli films such as “Laputa: Castle in the Sky,” “Grave of the Fireflies,” and “Princess Mononoke”.
The exhibition will feature approximately 230 works, including hand-drawn backgrounds from his early days to his latest works, as well as never-before-seen art settings, image boards, and production tools created during the production process, and his new work “Cherry Blossom Dancing Hamamatsu Castle,” which will be on display for the first time.
