YOASOBI’s song “Idol” topped the “Billboard The Global Excl. U.S. top 10” chart dated June 10.
The “Billboard The Global Excl. U.S. top 10” is a chart compiled from the “Billboard Global 200,” a chart based on streaming and downloads in more than 200 regions worldwide, excluding data from the U.S. It is released every Saturday in Japan time.

YOASOBI’s song “Idol” is the theme song for the anime “[Myushi-no-ko],” which began airing in April 2023. The song is based on the novel “45510” written by Akasa Akasaka, the author of the original manga “The Child of the Guess” on which the anime is based.
This is the first time in history that a song sung in Japanese has reached the top spot since the creation of “Billboard The Global Excl. U.S. top 10″ in September 2020.” The English-language version of “Idol” was released for download on May 26, and the CD will be released on June 21 as a limited-edition CD.
