Extensive Merchandise Selection, with Many Items Selling Out
Another thing worth mentioning is the shopping experience. The exhibition’s exclusive merchandise, including collaborations with popular brands, has been flying off the shelves. The museum shop at the Tokyo exhibition was so packed that it was difficult to even get near. Many items quickly sold out, and even when online sales began, they sold out just as fast. The enthusiasm for Monet among visitors is truly unrelenting. With the Kyoto exhibition coming up, it’s sure to attract even more fans, so if you’re eyeing any products, make sure to get them sooner rather than later.

For instance, the organdy bag created in collaboration with “Bridget Tanaka.” This delicate, sheer tote is embroidered with a design inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies.” It’s so charming that you wouldn’t dream of using it for things like natto or daikon. Instead, it would be perfect for carrying a small sketchbook and watercolor pencils for a trip to the park.

The exhibition’s original apparel will also be perfect for outfits as we head into early summer. The back print features Monet’s “Water Lilies” with the exhibition’s French title, “Le dernier Monet: Paysages d’eau.”
