A Film Infused with the Power of Love and Dance
This is a film with sophisticated cinematography and vivid visual design, but it is also important to note that the theme of the film, as it gradually emerges throughout the film, is unmistakably “love”.
Whatever form it may take, there is naturally a communion of love, and at the same time, because of this, people have both mistrusted and forgiven each other. And to ask again, without escaping into pessimism, what such “love” means to us.
“Medusa Deluxe” is indeed a gruesome suspense and a choking mystery. But at the same time, it has the strange power to ignite that unexplainable feeling that comes over you when you are dancing to dance music. George MacRae sings during the end credits, “Don’t You Feel My Love? may be an invitation to dance for all of us.
