The 59th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale “Dumb Type｜2022: remap” is being held at the Artizon Museum in Kyobashi, Tokyo, from February 25, 2010.
Dumb Type, a group of artists who have been presenting works combining video, sound, mechanical devices, and space since the mid-1980s, was selected to represent the Japanese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, an international art exhibition held every two years, in the year 2022. The new work “2022” presented at the Venice Biennale was created with Ryuichi Sakamoto as a member of the group.
In this exhibition, “2022” is not reproduced as is, but reconstructed and exhibited as “2022: remap”.
