Compsons’ new performance “Kishibe no Best Album!!” will be performed from Wednesday, January 24 to Sunday, January 28 at the Little Theater B1 in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
Compsons was founded in 2016 from Meiji University’s theater circle “Jikken Gekijo”. It is characterized by a style that crosses over from reality to fiction in every direction.
The work centers on three women with names containing the seasons, Natsuki, Chiaki, and Fuyumi. It is written and directed by Suzuyuki Kaneko. The cast includes Tsuyoshi Kondo (Seinendan), Yuriko Sato, Suzune Sasano, Tsuyoshi Sano (Ekoda no Girls), Maki Nishiyama (Seinendan), Shiori Hata (Nankyoku Godzilla), Rena Hatano, Yamato Fujiie, Jiro Omiya, Satomi Hobo, and Kanari Hoshino.
In addition, an after-talk with film director Daihachi Yoshida will be held on January 24 (Wed.) at 7:00 p.m., and manga artist and writer Masakazu Amahisa will be held on January 25 (Thu.) at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are on sale now.

Every time I write a new work, I always write it in a completely blank, agonizing situation. This title was also something I thought of before, but kept it in the back of my mind, thinking, “Well, I like it, but maybe I’m being too joking …….”This time, I was in more of a quandary than usual and had to decide on a title at least for now, so I stepped out with a “Yes! I realized then that I had always wanted to use this title.
Then, I just came across the news of Mr. Taichi Yamada’s death. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences for his passing. I have been greatly impressed and influenced by the works of Taichi Yamada. The title of the play is a strange pun, but I am not sure if it has anything to do with the content of the book. However, I would like to challenge myself to catch up with my great predecessors who are too far behind.Thank you.
