The stage adaptation of “Otsuya no Koi” will grace the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center on December 2 (Sat), 9 (Sat), and 10 (Sun).
This play, based on Junichiro Tanizaki’s early novel “A Spring-time Case,” was previously showcased at Toga Sanbo in Toyama Prefecture in September. For the upcoming performances in Shizuoka, the production will feature new sets and costumes tailored to the venue.
The narrative revolves around the elopement of Oyatsu, the sole daughter of a wealthy pawnbroker, and her apprentice Shinsuke.
Abe Kazunori, Ouchi Yoneji, Takii Miki, Daidomumon Yuya, Hayama Haruyo, and bable are among the cast, under the direction of Ishigami Natsuki.
