The Record Conveni 25th Anniversary Party” will take place on September 7th (Saturday) at the Record Convenience Store (Yamazaki Shop Kazusaya) and the Hamacho Rolling Café in Nihonbashi Hamacho, Tokyo.
The Record Conveni, which transitioned from a sake shop to a convenience store in 1999, is celebrating 25 years since the third-generation owner, Yasutaka Shindo, began playing records as background music. Since 2014, the store has hosted DJ events, DJ classes, convenience store wrestling, live performances, and more, while also selling used records and original merchandise.
The event will feature DJs Tetsuo Sunaga, Mino Music, Yuichi Kishino, Takumi Kawanishi, Della, Cyber Okan, DJ Marriage, and Motoko Tanaka, with additional performers to be announced. Live music by “Dars Raider & Bassons,” featuring Dars Raider, Daisaku Katsu, and Ohta Koji, and a comedy show by “Shibire Trio,” including Sumikura Chaos, Murakami Rock, and BB Goro, will also be part of the celebration.
The event is divided into two parts: the first from 16:00 to 19:30 at Record Convenience Store, and the second from 19:30 to 23:00 at the Hamacho Rolling Café, located just behind the store. The first part has a 50-person limit. Entrance is 2,500 yen, which includes celebratory drinks and a 25th-anniversary sticker.
