TIFA2024 Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters Group (Taiwan) X NIWAGEKIDAN PENINO (Japan) will be performed at the National Theater of Taipei, Taiwan, from April 26 (Fri.) to 28 (Sun.).
The production is part of the TIFA (Taiwan International Festival of the Arts) program, and is a joint play written and directed by Cyrus Wong of Taiwan and Kuro Tanino of Japan. The story is based on Yasunari Kawabata’s “The House of the Sleeping Beauties” and is set in a place that was originally a public bathhouse, and is a mysterious story made up of fantastical conversations.
The cast includes Fa, Yang Jia-en, Tsue Tai-ho, Chen Yi-en, and Hong Pei-yu from Taiwan, and Hairi Katagiri, Kiyobumi Kaneko, and Sen Fujimaru from Japan.
