Robert Glasper will visit Japan from April 10 (Wed) to 18 (Thu) on a tour that will take him to Billboard Live YOKOHAMA in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Billboard Live OSAKA in Umeda, Osaka, and Billboard Live TOKYO in Roppongi, Tokyo.
Robert Glasper was the first pianist to win the “55th Grammy Awards” for Best R&B Album for his 2012 release “BLACK RADIO. Since then, he has been gaining support for his style that sublimates various genres such as jazz, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative rock, and released “Better Than I Imagined feat. He is one of the most important pianists of the next generation of jazz, winning the “63rd Grammy Award” for Best R&B Song for “Ndegeocello” and the “65th Grammy Award” for Best R&B Album for “Black Radio III,” both released in 2022. He has been active as one of the most important pianists of the next generation of jazz. He also won the “66th Grammy Awards” to be announced in February 2024 for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “Back To Love feat. Back To Love feat.
The tour will take place over seven days, two in Yokohama, one in Osaka, and four in Tokyo, for a total of 14 shows, two each day. The band will feature Burniss Travis II on bass, Justin Tyson on drums, and Jahi Sundance on DJ. Tickets will go on pre-sale for Club BBL members on January 24 (Wed.), and general reservations will be available from January 31 (Wed.).
