The movie “Kienai Akari” will be released in theaters on October 21 (Sat).
The film depicts the relationship between a daughter and a deceased father/father using the “vacant house problem” as its motif. Mari Hanamura, who left the city to work in Tokyo and was thinking of selling the family home inherited from her late father, begins to reaffirm her own life when she sees visions of her father in the house and meets Yoko, a student of her father who used to be a teacher.
The lead role of Mari Hanamura is played by Miori Oda, who made her debut in the movie “Hikarisasu Umi, Bokuno Funato”. The cast includes Miho Kanazawa as Yoko, Mitsuru Hirata as Mari’s father, Mayumi Asaka as Mari’s mother who left home, as well as Youichi Nukumizu, Miwako Shishido, Kenji Shio, Ai Kitaura, and Shuri Suwa. Hiroki Inoue will direct and write the script.
